Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his first title for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has had a challenging year, managing just one win at the big events and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with former mentor his previous coach.
Now working with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents his first trophy after the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt from March of 2023.
The win also indicates the Russian has secured twenty-one victories at 21 various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my two daughters together, so to secure a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six title deciders, featuring in that event earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and recurring reactions on court had led commentators to doubt if his ability to compete at the elite level was over.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.
The champion fought back from a break down in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, winning four of the final five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors traded break points in the second set before Moutet, striving for his initial tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
He defended four initial chances in a competitive final set before the Russian won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, the winner secured the win with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
